On our break in Bath, we visited the American Museum
This painting ‘In a Darkening Wood‘ by George Washington Mark is displayed in the Folk Art Gallery (I couldn’t take a good picture of it, so have taken the liberty of borrowing this image from the BBC website). It portrays for me much of the mood of this early part of the Advent Journey.
In the main section of the museum, I contemplated the destruction of native North Americans and was reminded of this essential wisdom:
Let’s try to hold on to that which is really important – the flourishing of life and planet.
Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us.
