After the Advent Journey we have arrived in Christmas.

Christ has been welcomed, placed into the Crib.  We’ve sung carols, celebrated Masses, enjoyed the children showing their presents and sharing their excitement, we’ve wrestled with all that this might mean and how it challenges our lives, we’ve sat with those in sorrow, illness and bereavement at this time.  There will be more of this on Sunday as we grapple with Holy Innocents.

Some of my favourite times these past days have been sitting quietly in the Church between services taking it all in.

With Meenakshi being away (enjoying a very well-deserved break in Thailand from her work in Cambodia) we have kept the family traditions going.  Father Christmas and the reindeer were fed.

I slept for a very long time last night.  I’ve enjoyed reading the review sections of newspapers saved up over this busy time.

I’m going to get up in a few moments and cook a late Christmas Dinner.

A Merry and Blessed Christmas to you all.
