Pilgrimpace's Blog

some food for holy week

It’s Monday of Holy Week.  As we walk together, I thought I might share some of the things that I am finding sustaining.

I am reading a little CTS booklet Easter Homilies of Benedict XVI which a friend recommended.  It is giving me a huge amount to ponder as I prepare for preaching to others.

The Value of Sparrows Blog has been sharing Henri Nouwen’s Stations of the Cross meditations.  These are well worth spending time with, especially this week.

Chris Fewings is starting a new poetry e-zine The Ground.  It is for poetry exploring faith and there will be seasonal poems on it.  If you write, you should submit.

It is good to walk Holy Week together.  If you would like to join us at St Bede’s for any of the rest of the services this week, here are the times:

9.15am: Morning Prayer
10am: Holy Communion

2.00pm: Stations of the Cross
