A much needed day off walking yesterday with Paul. The weather forecast was awful. Paul spent time on the weather forecasting sites and we decided to set off late and to head for Tintern Abbey. We looked round the ruins in the last of the rain. Before heading off in good weather. We stopped to eat our lunch at the viewpoint at The Devil’s Pulpit – I assume he preached to the monks from here? A good day walking along Offa’s Dyke to Chepstow, crossing the river and following the Wye Walk back along the hills on the other side. .
