The 2016 Edition of The Complete Guide to Stiles of the British Isles is, after some hiccoughs, nearing completion.

Here is a picture of a rarity:

A Mark 6 Mcclennan C Double Stile Bridge.  It needs a haircut and a bit of attention, but you can make out the clean lines and craftmanship of the Mark 6.  You can find this beauty on p156 of Volume 4 of the Guide.

I am always relieved on reaching a stile to find that I don’t have to lift my dog over it!

Thank you all. Spain is much the poorer for not having stiles.
Stephen – when you buy and read the Guide, you’ll be even more relieved – the fields on either side are incredibly muddy. Trying to pick up your dog would be similar to grasping a bar of soap
