“The one who takes up a pilgrim’s staff to pay a visit to brothers does so, in the final analysis, because he counts on their assistance in revealing to him the grace that, until now, has remained too deeply buried within his own heart.”

– Andre Louf

It is very good to be at Whitland Abbey on their Patronal Festival. Lots of food for the soul, to meditate on later.

Good to be able to rest my knee. I had a mercy visit from Roland with ice packs and pain killers. Am sitting with my leg up and a bag of frozen veg on the knee. A short day tomorrow, so hopefully time to get better!

Love and prayers.

Dear Andy,
I am really enjoying reading your blog – it’s very interesting and inspiring, but I’m sorry to hear about your painful knee and the stomach bug you had. I hope you are on the road to recovery after being able to rest with the sisters at Whitland.

I would appreciate your prayers please for our friend Rena in Penrhys who has cancer and other health problems. She used to enjoy coming to Llanfair regularly for worship and to volunteer in the cafe, but her health has gone downhill in the last couple of years. She now spends most of her time in bed and really misses coming to church. Her husband Hugh is looking after her, but it’s a struggle for him and he has lots of ‘ups and downs’ which is not surprising. I visited Rena on Monday and when I spoke about your pilgrimage, she wanted me to ask you to pray for her.

Could you also pray for Rebecca (our missionary worker) and her aunty at home in Mizoram who has serious kidney problems. Rebecca is very worried about her as they are very close. Rebecca suffers from migraines and today she had a headache and high blood pressure, so she’s under a lot of stress.

Thank you so much.
